Chris left the snowy mountains in Canada to join his fiance, Quinn, in the pristine mountains of Georgia. He offered her the Moon Over Georgia (with a spectacular view) and she said YES!!!
Working with this couple while planning their wedding has been a true joy.
My goal was to allow them to design a ceremony that is a true reflection of their unique personalities and styles. Her bouquet will be nothing shy of phenomenal! The flowers will be imported from a grower in Holland. They are very delicate and the color is only available during a few weeks each year.
The floral designer has really gone way beyond the norm to make sure that the cranberry callas intertwined with silver threads will be something that all will remember about Quinn and Chris' beautiful beginning at their Mountain Top Chapel Wedding.
My hope is that I have helped them create their special one of a kind ceremony with an honest storytellers perspective. I know that this fairytale wedding will have a happily ever after ending because all memories that last a lifetime begin at our Mountain Top. :)
Sincerely,
Karen Wingard

Everyone’s got a different reason for coming to Pine Mountain. There are those times when you need to simply get away from the daily routine and just recharge your engines. That’s what Mountain Top’s been about from the beginning… It’s time to reconnect with nature, your friends & family and the mountains.
We get these questions a lot: where’s your favorite place to eat, when’s the pool open, what do you like to do for fun, where’s the best hiking trail. Living on top of the mountain, our “local favorite spots” are right around the corner.
10 Neat Facts, Things to Do, & Great Eateries near Mountain Top Inn:
Pool is OPEN! Take a dip in Mountain Top's pool with relaxing music & views that will take your breath away! There's a huge shallow end for the kids and extra deep end (9 feet) for the adults.
Best hiking trail: hands down, it's the hike to Cascade Falls on the Wolf Den Loop trail. We've just got trail maps in our office so be sure to purchase one while you're here. We'll be happy to help you with directions.
Guess what we just learned this year? In 1953, a twin engine B-25 Air Force bomber veered off course and crashed on Dowdell's Knob with only 1 survivor...who was actually the only one NOT wearing his seat belt and is still alive! Dowdell's Knob is one of the best spots for views plus there are beautiful hikes that start right from the parking lot.
Hand feed a giraffe at the Wild Animal Safari Park. How cool is that?!
If hiking is not your thing or you want to explore the park a different way, take a ride over the mountain by horseback with Roosevelt Stables.
The South is known for its great storytelling. Listen to the best during a tour at the Little White House in Warm Springs.
Bring your bikes and explore the miles of paved bike trails at Callaway Gardens. Don't forget to check out the Birds of Prey show and the Canopy Zip Line Tour. Hopefully you'll meet my favorite bird: Hershel, the Eastern Screech Owl. You can't help but fall in love!
While there are many great local spots to grab a bite to eat, a secret eatery that many have overlooked is The Bakery & Cafe at Rose Cottage in downtown Pine Mountain. Enjoy fresh baked breads & pastries with a fresh cup of coffee for breakfast. They're open for breakfast & lunch, but unfortunately they're only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, but the dinner is out of this world! Make sure to ask our front desk attendant for other favorite recommendations.
Whitewater Rafting on the Chattahoochee in Columbus, GA! Opening May 25th and only a very short drive from Pine Mountain is the longest urban whitewater course in the world!
Last but certainly not least...Don't make it harder than it is...just RELAX in your cabin! Use the new cabin search feature to find the amenities that you're looking for in your cabin. (i.e. views, WIFI, pet-friendly, etc.). Remember, you can always give us a call and we'll be more than happy to help you find the perfect pine mountain cabin that suits your needs.
We hope to see you soon and feel free to share your favorite reasons for visiting the area on our Facebook page. Look forward to seeing you soon!
